Postdoctoral researcher in Bioinformatics (f/m/x)

Your role in detail

The Capasso lab is seeking a collaborative and self-motivated bioinformatician/computational biologist to join a team of cell and molecular biologists working on the immune system and its changes in aging and neurodegeneration. The projects will focus on interrogating and integrating existing transcriptome, translatome and proteome datasets generated from genetically engineered mouse models, with a specific focus on regulation of mRNA translation downstream mTOR activation in microglia. This programme of work is based on published/unpublished studies from the team. 

Your qualifications

  • Expertise in applied bioinformatics/computational biology is required and knowledge of statistics would be an advantage
  • A PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology or a related subject is essential, preferably with a focus on gene expression
  • Previous experience in bioinformatics analysis applied to regulation of mRNA translation will be highly desirable
  • Collaborative and pro-active attitude
