Your role in detail
- Collaborate closely with the on-campus radiopharmacy for PET tracer synthesis, development of novel radiotracers
- Build up the recent development of a Trem2 antibody PET tracer, including the integration of a brain shuttle system
- Work as part of the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Group and the MR Physics Department
- Utilizing the hub support for project-tailored MRI and PET workflow
- Radiolabelling procedures, including radioactive isotopes, small molecules and antibodies
- Access to the high-performance computing cluster at the ISD will facilitate large-scale neuroimage processing and analysis
Your qualifications
- Ph.D./ Dr. rer. nat in Biomedical Sciences with focus on Radiochemistry
- Radiotracer development and evaluation: Proficiency in radiolabeling techniques (chelator and small molecules) for mice and human application.
- In Vivo Models: Proficiency in working with transgenic mouse models of neurological disease, incl. use of PET imaging experiments and analysis.
- Cellular and Molecular Expertise: Proficiency in biochemical and histological methods such as Western blot, PCR, ELISA, tissue processing and immunostaining with a particular focus on cell sorting after radiotracer injection.
- Quality control: Proficiency in documentation of radiotracer production.
- Teamwork and communication: Ability to collaborate closely with experts from various disciplines, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Others: Experience in writing research grant proposals and scientific manuscripts.
