Researcher (f/m/x) Data Science with focus on AI Explainability in Radiology and Dementia Research

Code: 1373/2024/12

The research group “Clinical Dementia Research” (Prof. Dr. Stefan Teipel) works on the methodological development and validation of innovative methods to improve dementia diagnostics, the monitoring of disease progression, and the determination of intervention effects. In the previous project “EXPLAINATION”, we developed a prototype artificial intelligence-based assistance tool to support the radiological examination of MRI scans and the diagnosis of dementia.

We plan to further extend this AI tool and develop deep learning models for the differential diagnosis of different types of dementia and other neurologic findings showing similar symptoms. More specifically, we will focus on computational modeling approaches to ensure the comprehensibility and explainability of the system.
