The German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) is a world-leading internationally oriented research center, committed to discovering new approaches to prevent and treat neurodegenerative diseases. Your tasks

  • Conception, implementation and controlling of IT projects
  • Installation and support of client and server applications, storage systems, and network hardware
  • Provide first and second level support to on-site and remote users
  • Participate in initiatives that improve data protection and IT security
  • Optimize and standardize IT processes and procedures
  • Represent the Göttingen site in institutional IT projects
  • Collaborate in an effective way with internal and external IT providers
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at other institutions, other DZNE sites, groups and departments

Your profile

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems and networking technologies; preferably with Windows server certification and good working knowledge of Mac OS and Unix
  • Familiar with the GDPR
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mentality
  • Fluent in German and English languages, both written and orally
  • Completed university (or higher) degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or demonstrable knowledge acquired through experience
  • Working knowledge of IT processes within the UMG and GWDG would be a plus
