Your role in detail

• Working on new approach to immunotherapy and diagnostics in autoimmune brain diseases
• Using cell biology and molecular immunology approaches to study autoantibody-mediated diseases
• Assisting with all aspects of the experimental and administrative work with a focus on cell culture and tissue histology experiments
• Isolation of primary murine and human cells from peripheral blood monocytes and murine organs
• Mice handling
• Immunohistochemistry staining using cryostat sections, maintain cell lines and assist in diagnostic assays including ELISA and single molecule assays
• Supporting the group’s administration (purchasing, lab organization)

Your qualifications

• Degree as BTA, MTA, PTA or CTA (Biologisch-, Medizinisch-, Pharmazeutisch-, Chemisch-technische Assistent/in)
• Familiarity with routine techniques such as cell culture, immunostaining, histology and basic molecular biology
• Experience with laboratory management, good organizational skills
• Good communication skills as well as mathematical skills required in cell culture
• Interest in learning and adopting new techniques
