The German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) is a unique non-university research center which is dedicated to the subject dementia and all its areas, as well as other neurodegenerative diseases. The center compasses the full spectrum of fundamental research through population sciences to health care research. The DZNE stands for excellence in research and science management, translation of scientific results into practice, interdisciplinarity and internationalization. It is a research center within the Helmholtz Organization of German research centers. With over 1000 employees from 55 nations, spread over 10 sites, the DZNE is one of the national and international leading research centers in its research field. 

Psychologist/Psychiatrist (f/m/d)

Your tasks

  • Development and management of (clinical) studies
  • Analysis of a variety of data (biodata, therapy parameters, questionnaires etc.)
  • Communication with clinical practitioners and institutions
  • Development of stimuli and conceptualization of VR environments for VR-based therapy
  • Biodata processing and development of biofeedback loops for virtual reality applications


  • Masters degree or similar in Psychology, Psychiatry or related field
  • Experience in clinical research (study stimulus development, data acquisition, statistical analysis...)
  • Creative approach towards applying your skills to psychological and clinical research as well as the development of modern therapy software and technology
  • Interest in psychological research and Clinical Psychology
  • High organizational skills and an open mind towards learning new things
  • Proficient knowledge of SPSS, R or similar software for statistical analysis 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
