Your role in detail

We are looking for you in the working group of Prof. Dr. Harald Prüß

  • Work on a novel approach to immunotherapy and diagnostics in autoimmune brain diseases
  • Apply a range of cell biology and molecular immunology techniques to study autoantibody-mediated diseases
  • Assist with all aspects of experimental and administrative work with focus on cell culture and tissue histology experiments
  • Isolate primary murine and human cells from peripheral blood monocytes and murine organs and handle mice
  • Perform immunohistochemistry staining using cryostat sections, maintain cell lines and assist in a number of diagnostic assays including ELISA and single molecule assays

Your profile in cutting edge research

  • Completed training as a BTA, MTA, CTA (biological, medical, pharmaceutical, or chemical technical assistant)
  • Familiarity with routine techniques such as cell culture, immunostaining, histology, and basic molecular biology
  • Experience or understanding of laboratory management
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Basic mathematical skills required for cell culture work
  • Interest in learning and adopting new techniques within a dynamic and methodologically diverse research environment
  • Willingness to support group administration, including purchasing and lab organization, in addition to experimental work
