We are looking for Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/x)  Translational Dementia Research Group in full time.


Your role in detail

A position for a talented and highly motivated post-doctoral researcher is available in the Translational Dementia Research group led by Anja Schneider in Bonn.

One important area of our research focuses on the question of how protein aggregates in neurodegenerative diseases confer toxicity and result in cognitive dysfunction. To study these questions, we are using murine and cell culture models.

In this context, we are looking for a highly motivated and  experienced researcher (m/f/x) in full time, ideally with a background in neuroscience.

Your qualifications

  • Experience in mouse behavior, stereotactic injections, imaging, immunohistochemistry, adenoviruses and primary cell culture.
  • Prior experience in ribosome profiling and/or synaptic translation would be of advantage
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team-oriented environment
  • A track record of publishing high quality scientific articles
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required
